OPUS: THE ASSEMBLER is an ongoing body of work extending across sculpture and installation. This presentation focuses on the sculptural works, in which Tosha examines how forms are constructed, connected and transformed under force.
Across the sculptures, steel, aluminum, fiberglass, resin and tensioned textile become structures of weight, compression, support and resistance. Forms meet, divide, bear, deform and hold. Some are rigidly constructed; others register pressure through stretched, compressed or yielding surfaces.
The works occupy an unstable space between structure and deformation, support and burden, unity and separation. An assembled form may hold, but it is never entirely settled.
Within OPUS: THE ASSEMBLER, assembly is not a final condition. It is an ongoing process of joining, supporting, resisting and changing — where every form must ultimately answer to its own physical presence.
